The race from West Mersea to Ostende on 18th September had the smallest fleet of the season and was in danger of being changed because of the stormy weather that was giving a lot of rain and wind. But the skies cleared and the wind moderated to provide a wonderful sailing experience. However the wind moderated a bit to far in the middle of the day and one yacht had to give up and motor the rest of the way.
