EAORA 2010
2010 Harwich Race
The Harwich Race started with sunny skies and a light southerly breeze and a few thick heads from the hospitality of the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club from the night before. Much debate was had around the non infamous 'Special Mark', many yachts had difficulty finding this mark the day before and some yachts were forced to retire as a result that the race officer decided to remove this from the race and opted for the sort course back to Felixstowe.... 2010 Walker Challenge Cup
A meeting in the Lightship at Suffolk the night before the race marked the start of the 2010 Walker Challenge cup. On race day, we were greeted with clear skies and a southerly 12 knot breeze and a forecast for a south west 15 knots, decreasing throughout the day.... Read the whole Walker Challenge Report

2010 Thames Estuary Race
The return race of the back to back weekend from the Medway to Burnham packed a bigger punch than everyone expected, after a light wind race the day before and will be one to remember for a long time to come. Chairman's Message 2010
As this has been the coldest winter on record for 30 years, skippers and crews up and down the East Coast may be forgiven for a late fitting-out in preparation for the first EAORA race weekend on the 10th & 11th April. I hope that the snow and rain will be long past and that fair winds and tides will be the order of the day! Read the whole 2010 Chairman's Message

Buckley Goblets West Mersea to Ostend Friday 17th September 2010 Oz Privateer 2009 Overall Winner
2009 Class Winners Class 1 Oz Privateer Class 2 Titian Class 3 McGregor III
| The Buckley Goblets remains as it did in the inaugural season, the final race of the year – presented by JC Buckley in 1950 - although then it was limited only to larger boats (then 24ft LWL!). This year the traditional race starts on the Friday morning at 0700 for the 90 mile passage from West Mersea to Ostend. The customary hospitality of the Royal North Sea Yacht Club and of the town of Ostend ensures a great last race party. An end-of-season atmosphere pervades the race and an end-of-season hangover tends to pervade the return trip.
